About Dr Pablo Hafner
Pablo Hafner is a Swiss–Argentinian businessman with extensive experience as CEO across multiple industries. His sector expertise includes infrastructure, electrical components, telecommunications, food products, and performance materials.
He has led companies across all continents, with a strong track record in strategic repositioning, operational restructuring, and scaling businesses in complex, high-demand environments. His experience spans family-owned enterprises as well as private equity– and venture capital–backed companies, including deep-tech ventures. He combines an entrepreneurial mindset with strong financial discipline and a consistent focus on execution. His leadership style emphasizes trust, clear priorities, accountability, and operational excellence.
Dr. Hafner brings both academic and practical expertise in the governance of family-controlled businesses. He is the author of numerous publications and book chapters, a former contributor to the European economic press, and has served as an editorial reviewer for the British Journal of Management. He is also active in the small-cap sector as a senior advisor, independent investor, and co-entrepreneur.
A former elite swimmer, he is multilingual and holds a PhD in Economics from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland.
